Stephen Ireland is has served two terms on the Board of the CCCI having first been co-opted in 2018. In that time Stephen has provided guidance to the Board on legal and governance matters as de facto Secretary.
Accordingly, Stephen has seen the Chamber through a number of changes in personnel, the challenges brought by Covid and the exciting development of the Chamber which is ongoing. Stephen wishes to remain an active Director for one further three year term in order to help bring the current plans to fruition and continue the growth of the Chamber and build on the success that has been achieved so far which reflects his dedication to the Chamber.
In his legal career, Stephen is currently a Legal Director at Irwin Mitchell Private Wealth, where he leads the Chichester team within the Contentious Trust and Probate Department. His role involves handling a range of disputes related to wills, trusts, and estate administration, as well as matters involving powers of attorney.
With over three decades of legal experience, Stephen qualified in 1991 and has since developed a broad litigation background.
Additionally, Stephen is a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS), which underscores his expertise in this complex field.
His recent promotion within Irwin Mitchell marks a significant career step, positioning him within a leading private wealth team and contributing to the firm’s growing reputation in this area. His leadership and legal acumen are evident not only in his professional practice but also in his active role in the CCCI.
