Your support helps families like Fiona and John, who lives with dementia, through providing personalised support that guides them through their difficult dementia journey. With the rising number of dementia diagnoses there is an increasing need for our services to grow and improve the lives of those living locally with dementia.
“It is scary, to be in this situation. If we didn’t have somewhere like Sage House well it just doesn’t bear thinking about. It is like a lifeline.”
Fiona carer for her husband John who lives with dementia.
Sage House relies on fundraising for 80% of its annual income and it has been a challenging year with rising costs and supporting more people than ever before. In response, we have today launched our Christmas Double Up Appeal whereby all donations between 3rd December until the end of Tuesday 17th December will be DOUBLED by our match fund champions, at no extra cost to you.
Your kindness can gift Dementia Support to your local community this Christmas.
Whatever gift you can give will be DOUBLED. For example, a donation of £5 is doubled to £10, £15 to £30, £25 to £50 and so on.
Can you support our Double Up fundraising Appeal? and help increase our compassionate, person-centred services here at Sage House, through our Community Outreach, and our new Advice Bus – reaching more families like Fiona and John.
If you are able to give your donation today and help prevent families from feeling lost or alone – offering them hope, understanding, and a compassionate community service to lean on, please use our website www.dementiasupport.org.uk/donate or call Sage House on 01243 958460 to give securely over the phone, or by cheque to Sage House.
Your generosity will create life-changing connections, bringing people together to build a stronger, more resilient community, so no one has to face their dementia journey alone.
On our website, Fiona reflects on the importance of ongoing support, having a reason to leave their house, building friendships with others in a similar situation, and offering respite for herself and through activities and Day Breaks helping to keep John active and busy.
“If somebody didn’t have support in a situation like this then I just can’t imagine how they cope”
Fiona
Your support makes a positive difference. Thank you for your support and compassion, and wishing you a Merry Christmas.
