Fraser Duncumb

CEO, Wotter

I’m interested and keen to learn as much as I can, and I feel that being part of a board of experienced business people will open me up to new opportunities to learn.

Secondly, I’m keen to help businesses thrive in our city. The world is changing very fast, with the release of new and groundbreaking technologies seemingly a weekly occurrence. This gives us cause for both fear and optimism, but it definitely gives us opportunity.

PwC recently stated: ‘From a macroeconomic point of view, there are therefore opportunities for emerging markets to leapfrog more developed counterparts.
Within your business sector, one of today’s start-ups or a business that hasn’t even been founded yet could be the market leader in ten years’ time.’ Why can’t one of them be from Chichester?

I can bring general knowledge around strategy and innovation, particularly with ideation and assessment of new initiatives.

I combine this with specialist knowledge of IT systems, technology, and AI, which I have used as part of the team that created Wotter’s systems. I also have knowledge around surveying and feedback gathering, which ties into Wotter’s core business.

I can particularly aid in creating and understanding data to underpin strategic goals, as well as working with and integrating new technologies to drive CCCI forward.

I also used to make Viola da Gamba, which isn’t so useful for this role but does make for some interesting conversation over a pint!
